CHERRY HILL (SBN) — The executive director of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, Allison McLeod, is calling on state legislators to enact the New Jersey Protecting Against Climate Threats (NJ PACT) act, a comprehensive regulatory reform initiative launched by the Murphy administration to modernize the state's environmental laws, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and adapt to climate change.
“After repeated flooding and extreme weather this summer, we’re seeing the growing costs of a changing climate, not only in damage to homes and infrastructure, but in the rising burden on families and communities,” McLeod said. “New Jersey must continue moving toward clean energy to reduce carbon pollution and slow the impacts of climate change.”
