Delaware Residents Protest Airline's ICE Contract

WILMINGTON, DE (SBN) — About 200 Delaware residents lined both sides of busy Route 13 beside Wilmington International Airport on Thursday, April 24, 2025 to protest the decision by discount airline Avelo to sign a contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to provide charter flights for ICE's rendition program that forcibly deports allegedly undocumented immigrants to a concentration camp style prison in El Salvador.
The Trump Administration has been criticized for refusing to provide the deportees with normal American due process to challenge their deportations, instead simply herding them onto flights without any hearings before judges in the United States.
SBN News Director Steve Lubetkin visited the Wilmington protest and filed this report.
